Birmingham Green offers Speech, Occupational, and Physical Rehabilitation for all residents in our community.
Rehabilitation Offerings
Birmingham Green offers rehabilitative therapies through a contracted service, Select Rehab. This department designs each resident’s rehabilitative program to conform to the needs of the resident and the orders of their personal physician, whether at our Assisted Living facilities, Willow Oaks or District Home, or our Northern Virginia Health Care Commission.
Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy are offered to each Birmingham Green resident as needed. The goal of rehabilitative therapy is to assist our residents in reaching and maintaining the highest level of independence possible. Our team consists of talented therapists who have a strong reputation for clinical quality, effective outcomes, and positive customer service.

Our highly skilled occupational therapists in Northern Virginia are proficient in the treatment of hand and upper extremity pathologies, from the acute to the chronic. Our team designs each treatment based on the physician’s diagnosis and the specific needs of our residents.

Speech Therapy treatment at Birmingham Green will target impairments affecting voice, fluency, cognition, aphasia, and swallowing.
Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) strive to implement programs that will increase verbal expression, auditory comprehension, and problem-solving. This allows for an increased ability to communicate basic physical needs and emotional status, personal self-care needs, engage in social-communicative interaction with immediate family and friends, plan for future events, and reminisce about the past.
