Over the weekend, Birmingham Green beautified our campus with the help of local Eagle Scouts from Troop 670. The goal of the project was to create an additional sitting area in front of the District Home that mirrored and expanded the look and feel of an existing sitting area. They envisioned this space as a place for family members and staff to get some fresh air and smell the flowers amidst visiting and assisting our residents. Our Director of Volunteer & Support Services Andre Porter oversaw the project from its beginning to its end.
We documented the hard work of Troop 670 – from them laying down pavers to sprucing up the space’s landscaping . Their project’s final product was a beautifully renovated patio area complete with fresh flower beds, trees, and a new bench. We thank Troop 670 for their hard work and dedication to making our campus even more beautiful. Our staff and visiting family members are sure to love this new addition!
