To our Residents, Families, Team Members, and Community:
As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of our residents and team members, we are providing another COVID-19 update. We will continue to provide weekly COVID-19 updates in the following weeks as well.
As of this week, Birmingham Green has seven team members who have tested positive for COVID-19. Four team members from Willow Oaks Assisted Living Facility and three team members from the Health Center (Nursing Home) have tested positive for COVID-19. The affected team members are currently isolating at home, pursuant to current policies and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. Although our team members have been vaccinated, it is possible to have breakthrough cases, thus all infection control measures in place will continue to be followed. Birmingham Green also has seven residents who have tested positive for COVID-19. Two residents from Willow Oaks Assisted Living Facility and five residents from the Health Center (Nursing Home) have tested positive for COVID-19. The affected residents are isolating within the facilities. For more information on COVID-19 illness after vaccination, please visit the CDC’s website.
We are continuing to follow CDC recommendations and all team members will continue to wear the appropriate PPE and masks, as well as perform proper infection control measures and stringent cleaning protocols.
We encourage you to visit birminghamgreen.org/covid-updates for the latest updates, visitation information, safety protocols, and COVID resources. You can also get our latest COVID updates by calling our dedicated COVID-19 hotline at (703) 257-6282. We remain committed to the safety and well-being of our residents and team members, and we thank you for your patience during this challenging time.
Our residents are at the center of all that we do. Their safety and the safety of our team members
will always be our priority.
